Technical Program Description

What is a "Commissioning Design Review"?

Consulting Engineers pour countless hours into designing and specifying intricate HVAC systems and controls schemes which work beautifully on paper.  Once a project moves through construction and into operation, often times the design intent is compromised or lost altogether due to a variety of factors outside of the design engineer's control.  Commissioning Design Reviews are a useful means of evaluating a design in tandem with the consulting team, with a specific eye on start-up and commissioning, as well as implementation and operation of systems once they are turned over to the end user.  These can help identify and resolve operational / controls issues before they ever develop during construction, start-up, TAB, and Cx.

Plus - Q&A with a CxA:

Here is your opportunity to ask any questions which you may have held regarding how the systems you've designed are tested, verified and placed into operation.  What are common problems that are encountered?  How are they addressed and resolved?  What can we do as consultants to minimize those issues on future projects?  And many more!
