The Georgia Chapter of ASHRAE is planning its second Day on the Hill on February 20, 2018, during National Engineers Week. Volunteers will visit the Georgia State Capitol to meet with their legislators, specifically those on committees relevant to the built environment, to discuss how ASHRAE can be a resource for them.
Volunteers will be asked to reach out to their legislators about 2 weeks before the event (don't worry, we'll give you contact information and sample text for you to customize as you'd like - it's easy!), so sign up early. We're hoping to have a proclamation read for National Engineers Week while we're present, so if you already know one of your legislators or are willing to ask your legislator to make the proclamation, let GGAC chair Meghan McNulty know.
On the Day on the Hill, We'll meet at ASHRAE HQ at 8 am for donuts, coffee, and final details, and head down to the Capitol together. Additional logistics info will be provided as we get closer to the event.
