YEA - Young Engineers in ASHRAE

What is YEA?

To ensure the future of the Society and the industry, ASHRAE is committed to advancing its programs and services for young members through helping them build their professional foundations. With this in mind, ASHRAE created a committee called Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA), for members age 35 and younger!

YEA is excited to start teaming up with AIA's YAF for joint-networking events. This is a great way to meet fellow young professionals on the architectural side. 

Annual Events

These are a few of the events for YEA each year. 

GT-UGA Spring Classic

We gather for the Spring Classic baseball game to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Come see a great college baseball rivalry between two traditional national baseball powers, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Georgia Bulldogs.

Hockey Night

We enjoy a night out with ASHRAE at the Atlanta Gladiators game on Friday, January 29th! 

The event includes a tour of the facility's refrigeration system, food and drinks at the Party Terrace prior to game time, and a ticket to the game itself to cheer on the Gladiators!

We typically do multiple events at different breweries for a brewery tour and beer sampling.  

We gather together to help build homes for those in need.
