Technical Program Description

Georgia Power will provide an overview and updates of their 2020 Commercial Energy Efficiency program and highlight examples of rebated projects. The presentation will include program requirements, eligible measures, incentive levels, and the rebate application process with changes related to the 2020 – 2022 programs cycle certified by the Georgia Public Service Commission as part of Georgia Power’s Demand Side Management (“DSM”) filing. Project highlights will include technologies that exceed Georgia’s energy code minimum efficiency requirements, such as HVAC/R equipment, LED Lighting and Controls for existing buildings and new construction projects.

SPEAKERS

Natasha Reynolds, Georgia Power; Richard Cohen and Reema Vashi, CLEAResult


Natasha Reynolds is a Program Manager for Georgia Power’s Commercial Energy Efficiency. Her role is to support the implementation of the PSC-certified energy efficiency programs offered to Georgia Power’s commercial customers. In previous roles, she worked as Facility Energy Manager for Escambia County Government in FL, Project Manager and Energy Modeler. Natasha earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Panama’s UIP/ULACIT and expects to finish her MBA with specialization in Business Analytics from Florida State University in the Spring of 2021. She is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional with specialization in Building Design & Construction, a Certified Energy Manager, and serves as a member of the Standard Project Committee for ASHRAE’s Standard 100 Energy Efficiency in Existing Buildings.  

Richard Cohen has over 20 years’ experience in the energy efficiency industry. Currently, Richard works as a Program Manager with CLEAResult supporting the Georgia Power Commercial Energy Efficiency Programs. Prior to joining CLEAResult, Richard worked as an Energy Engineer for The Kroger Company where he completed numerous lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, and controls energy conservation projects in grocery retail stores. Richard also worked in the Construction and Maintenance Departments during his tenure at Kroger. Richard has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Applied Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA and Master of Science Degree in Finance from Georgia State University.

Reema Vashi is a Senior Energy Engineer at CLEAResult, with over 12 years of experience in energy efficiency, working on both the utility and program management consulting side of the industry. Specific areas of expertise include managing highly innovative energy efficiency programs across various market sectors in the US and Canada, from concept to planning, implementation, and evaluation. Reema has a deep understanding of behavioral based energy efficiency, energy efficiency financing, and energy auditing programs. In her current role, Reema provides technical support to Georgia Power customers and program allies for incentive program submissions and contributes to the development of the Commercial Custom and Prescriptive Energy Efficiency Programs. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University.
